Altered Journal

Hi again, I'm back with another post, I just had to share my latest project with you all. It is an altered hardback journal. I have used a paper & elements from the Picknix cd from Polkadoodles
This cd is full of the most fab papers, digis & papers.
For this project I have used the All Sewn Up range. I covered the notebook (no easy feat lol) & cut out the elements I wanted to use, gave them a touch of distress inks & mounted them onto the paper using glue gel. I wrapped the thread card with crochet cotton & draped a piece of it around the scissors.
All in all I am V happy with how this turned out & have more ideas rushing through my head.
Well that's all for now, thanks for stopping by & I'd love to hear some feed back. xxxx

Teddy Bo First Day At School cards

Good morning, well it's nearly back to school time & it is certainly reflected in alot of the cards I have been asked to do in the last few weeks.
Given a choice of image, mostly all of the people who ordered them wanted these fab images from Teddy Bo, I think they are just THE cutest little bears.
I have coloured them all with pro-markers & used altered digi papers to create the card.
You can find Teddy Bea by clicking on her name.
& Teddy Bo can be found here
Thanks so much for looking, I hope you like my cards & will visit again soon.

Rain, Rain & More Rain

Good morning everyone, well we had a lovely sunny day here yesterday, but normal service of rain has resumed today lol.
I just thought I'd share a card a friend asked me to make for her daughter

Isn't she a little dote. I designed the card, as I design most of my cards, in CAP & cut out some of the butterfly frame to add dimension. I then added tiny butterflies & her favourite Minnie Mouse. The colour I used are the colours in her bedroom.
I hope you all like it, please stop by again soon

Sharing...

Hi folks I just thought I'd share a card with you all, I was asked to do it for a girl who was getting some surprise tickets to the USA for her birthday, I was asked to do them in the style of an airline ticket. I saw the idea on another blog, but can't for the life of me remember where (so if you know, plz let me know so I can credit the person) Anyway I hope you like them, you can find more of my work for sale at Ceesa's Card Creations

I also made a wallet for the card & stamped some florishes on it
& of course added some ribbon & gems to bling it up abit.
I hope you like it, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

New Bettys 3

Typical, just when I was so excited to show you what I have come up with so far I had internet probs, anyway, better late than never. I have 2  cards to share with you so far, with plenty more to come in the next few days . These cards have both been done using the fab Bettys 3, & as with all of Betty's images, I am in love. I hope you like them.
Both of the images have been coloured in pro-markers & both are centre stepper cards.

I have added some simple elements from a cd to this one & layered them up a bit.
I cut out lots of leaves for this one, as well as some trees & set them around the image. I was so pleased with how this card has turned out.

Thanks so much for stopping by & I hope you will follow my blog & stop by often.
Next on the hop is Trudie's blog

Get me blogging twice in one day

I had to post again just to let you know that I am having THE most fun playing with the new Simply Betty releases, they are the most gorgeous Bettys 3 & are on pre release now.

If you haven't seen any of Betty's stamps you are missing out :)

I have also fallen in love with my pro-markers again, it's official. So much so that I have set up a separate desk in my craft room just for colouring :)

Anyway, that's all for tonight, I'll share some more with you all tomorrow xxx

Thursday 5 July 2012

Good morning everyone, I hope you are enjoying some nice weather. It's sunny here in County Wicklow, & long may it last. I just wanted to share with you all this card I have done, it's for a Polkadoodles Facebook challenge. We were given a digi image to use (this one is by the talented Emma Canning) & also a sketch to follow. Anyway, I took the image into craft artist & merged it with some of the fab elements from Polkadoodles & also used it to re-colour the papers to match.

Here is a close up of the coloured image. I have been practicing hard with my pro markers & I am happy with how it is coming along. I hope you like it xxxx

Back soon to share some more of my work, some of which is for sale at Ceesa's Card Creations, pop by & say hi xxxxx

Saturday 23 June 2012

Good morning from a wild n windy County Wicklow. Get me blogging twice in one week, I must be getting better at it lol. I just thought I'd share this little card I have just finished. I've used the cutest little digi from Saturated Canary, she was just a joy to colour in. I've used my pro-markers, though I didn't make a note of the colours.

Anyway, that's all for now, I'll be back soon with some more cards.
Have a fab weekend everyone

Busy Busy Busy

I am so bad at blog posting, I keep promising myself that I will find the time but somehow it always seems to get away from me. Words aren't really something I am great at getting down on paper & I often read with envy the fab blog posts by all the talented crafters.
Anyway, things have been so busy here, myself & a friend have just finished an online facebook auction for a little local lad, to help him get to the states for an operation. It was a huge success & we raised a fab €1921. People were so generous with their donations & I am proud to call some of these people friends.
I also hope to have my website up & running soon, thanks to another online buddy, who's husband has kindly offered to help, I was getting no where fast with it all :(
So between all of that & working on Mother's day & Communion/Confirmation items things have been hectic. I have something exciting coming up too, but all won't be revealed until later :)
That's all for now, I hope you all have a fab weekend.

Monochrome

This card has been done entirely in purple & lilac. I have used a die to cut the heart & then run it through an embossing folder. It has been matted & layered & had some die cut butterflies & a flourish added. The over all effect is simple but effective.

Arrrrggghhhhh

I am having blog trouble this morning, I had set up a new blog & for some reason when I follow a new blog it puts me as following from my old blog. Helpppppppppppppppppppppp!

Steampunk

This is a very new style for me but I thought I had to start using the stamps I won from Creative Expressions, albeit just the one small one. The whole card was done using a number of different techniques.
I designed a musical background, printed it off & aged it using distress inks. I then printed the digi & painted it, again using distress inks. I then cut it out using a spellbinder & inked the edges. I used the small cog stamp & stamped it around the card. The watch faces were printed off, aged & layered onto the music background. I then put the whole card together onto a brown cardstock, using a strip of the same card I used it on the backing paper to break the block up.
I hope you like it as it's one I am very proud of
